Jessica Beaton is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with over 20 years of experience, whose work is grounded in both professional expertise and lived experience. She has spent two decades supporting women and families with practical, compassionate nutrition guidance that fits into real life, not a version of life that feels restrictive, overwhelming, or unrealistic.
As co-founder of One Handed Cooks, Jessica has helped shape the way thousands of Australian families approach food, making nutrition simpler, more accessible, and more enjoyable, with a strong focus on creating calm, connected, and nourishing mealtimes.
Her clinical foundation was built within a large teaching hospital setting, predominantly at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH), where she developed extensive experience across eating disorders, diabetes management, oncology, cardiovascular health, and colorectal conditions. This breadth of experience underpins her evidence-based, whole-person approach to nutrition and long-term health.
Alongside her clinical work, Jessica brings a deeply personal understanding to what she teaches. As a mum of four boys and a woman in her early 40s navigating her own perimenopause journey, she understands first-hand the shifts in energy, metabolism, mood, and body composition, and what it feels like when what once worked no longer does.
Her approach moves away from rigid dieting and quick fixes, focusing instead on sustainable, hormone-supportive habits that improve energy, support metabolic health, and reduce the mental load around food.
Jessica has helped countless women move from feeling tired and overwhelmed to feeling clear, confident, and back in control of their eating, through simple, intentional changes that build momentum over time.
