Isabella McNamara (née Boccalatte)
Isabella is the founder of Core Dietetics and a credentialed eating disorder clinician.
She has a special interest in persistent pelvic pain, supporting those with and without endometriosis. Isabella helps patients build a positive relationship with food and their body through a non-diet, intuitive eating approach, creating space for respect, validation, and whole-body healing. Her mission is to translate scientific evidence into practical, everyday “foodie” strategies that nourish both body and nervous system.
Isabella is also a sessional academic at Queensland University of Technology and is completing her Master of Philosophy on nutrition in inflammatory acne. She aims to pursue a PhD focused on training allied health students to identify eating disorder red flags and make timely referrals. At Core, she honours each person’s unique journey with food and body, empowering patients to feel supported, not judged, and to make life easier, not harder.
