Body Image
Support for Pregnancy & Postpartum
Body image is a complex, multi-dimensional experience shaped by how we see, feel, think, and behave in relation to our bodies. During pregnancy and the postpartum period, this experience can become even more challenging, with research suggesting that around 44% of individuals report concerns about their bodies.
At a time when there is already so much to navigate, physical changes, emotional adjustments, new roles, and the demands of caring for a baby, body image can become yet another source of stress. As allied health professionals, we are in a unique position to support individuals navigate their concerns.
Join Emma as she explores practical, evidence-based clinical strategies that you can confidently implement in your work with pregnant and postpartum populations.
